Decorate Costumes for Children in Hospitals | Third Thursday Event!

Only Make Believe

Join us at our Monroe Street Market Arts Walk office to help us decorate costumes for our performances! No sewing skills required. Just bring your imagination, we'll provide the rest. You will be helping us make hats and tutus! Only Make Believe creates and performs interactive theatre in children's hospitals and care facilities. The costumes you will decorate are for the children who participate in our performances. Costumes are the first step in creating a world in the child's imagination, seemingly worlds away from their hospital room. This month's Third Thursday event on the Arts Walk will be DIY themed! Artist studios will be open with DIY activities for attendees to participate in, including a denim bar station, sewing tips, and a "Library on the Go Go" truck. So come volunteer with Only Make Believe and enjoy the food, live music, and DIY night while you're here. We are always in need of ribbons, bubbles, and fabric remnants. Feel free to bring some with you if you have any on hand that you are interested in donating! *Youth under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times
