On Friday, October 16th, join us for A Taste of Story Tapestries - a celebration of our first ten years of harnessing the power of the arts. Bring your appetite and sit at our virtual table for a magical evening of cooking, conversations, creativity, and community. Seating begins at 5:00pm with a Zoom around the Room Breakout Networking event and VIP reception. The Evening’s Menu begins at 5:30 pm, hosted by Special Honorary Chair, Catherine Leggett and includes tastings of: - A Local Celebrity Chef and their Appetizing Appetizer Demo - Our ST Story – From Pumpkin Soup to Dal - A Virtual Auction emceed by a community celebrity – Savory Salads with a Dash of Lemongrass - Performances & Testimonials of Our Impact – Enticing Entrees - And for Dessert: A Hint of Sweetness and Spice - A Debut Performance by our Founder & Executive Director, Arianna Ross Savor the flavors from soup to sweets! Access to Education and the Arts is NOT Equal. Story Tapestries' programs and services equitably and effectively: - Collaborate with partners and leverage the community to create spaces that are equitable, safe, and open for success. - Provide access to tools, resources, and strategies each individual, family, and whole community needs to build their cultural capital, find their voice, advocate for their needs, and tell their story. - Empower, educate, and engage to feed the artistic, academic, and affective needs of our community. Going on 10 years, Story Tapestries continually brings the arts integration ingredients that cook up the difference. We have reached over 840,000 individuals by delivering programs in more than 1,300 venues since 2010 and expect to pass the 1 million mark by 2022. These programs have proven to increase: - Self-confidence in one’s own voice, story, and presentation - Safe and equitable spaces for community engagement - College and Career Readiness The proof is in the pudding, as it were.
