NABA Butterfly Count - Manassas Circle
Prince William Conservation Alliance
This year’s NABA Butterfly Count is just around the corner, and we’d love to have you join us Sunday, July 19th, for this important day of community science! The data collected for the North American Butterfly Association (NABA) each year helps scientists monitor butterfly numbers and track trends across the continent. Each team will be led by an experienced team lead. You will meet them in the field at a prearranged location in the morning, typically around 9 am or 10 am, depending on the section and the leader, then spend the morning and afternoon identifying and counting butterflies. If you’d like to volunteer with us or learn more, please reach out to us at alliance@pwconserve.org or 703-490-5200. We’ll send more information or add you to a team. You don’t have to be a butterfly expert to make a big difference! Training is provided.
