#GivingTuesday 2017

High School students launch non-profits and social enterprises. LearnServe International helps them turn life experiences and personal passions into social change.
The 2016 LearnServe Zambia group sends their greetings and gratitude from southern Africa.

What if every high school student graduated with the vision of a leader, the tenacity of an entrepreneur, and the passion of a change-maker? We believe young people have the power to create change... and social change work can transform young leaders.

Through interconnected programs, LearnServe equips DC-area students with the 21st century skills and motivation they need to transform their communities. The LearnServe Fellows program teaches high schoolers the fundamentals of business planning and entrepreneurship, guiding them as they create and launch their own "social ventures." The most promising social ventures maximize their impact in the intensive LearnServe Incubator. Our Seeding Social Innovation curriculum brings social entrepreneurship courses into local schools. LearnServe Abroad offers summer trips to Jamaica, Paraguay, South Africa, and Zambia where students support ongoing development efforts in poverty, HIV/AIDS, education, and the environment (70% receive financial aid).

Since 2004, LearnServe has engaged 1,500+ students at nearly 50 DC-area schools, inspiring kids first to change their communities ... and then the world. Won’t you join them on the journey? Social innovation starts with you.
