The Learning Commons

The Learning Commons

The Catalogue for Philanthropy increases the visibility and resources of roughly 375 of our regionís best community-based nonprofits. We know, though, that it is not enough simply to connect charities with new supporters: we also must help them become stronger.

Beginning in 2017, the Catalogue will launch The Learning Commons. Available free of charge to all Catalogue nonprofits, it will feature programming in four main areas.

  • Workshops in Development and Stewardship/Marketing and Communications to build capacity in this critical field.
  • Volunteer Trainings (connected to the new Volunteer Match capacity now on our website).
  • Convenings -- regular "meet the Catalogue" get-togethers for new (or existing!) nonprofit staff, and Neighborhood Convenings that bring together, for the purpose of collaboration, diverse nonprofits working in the same zip code.
  • Donor Education Sessions that tap our nonprofit thought leaders' knowledge to bring programs of compelling interest to the donor community.

Partner with Us

We invite you to join us as a partner in sponsoring and/or facilitating a training. As a partner, you will share your expertise with our growing network of charities, find new opportunities to advance you own community goals, and meet other like-minded supporters who share your passions.
