Each year, for 60 hours a week, the House engages 450 students in grades 4-12 in Prince William County, and an additional 3,200 students across the DC region – before school, after school, on weekends, and in the summer. For students in crisis, counseling, recreational therapy, and family support programs help them overcome obstacles and become advocates for their own mental health. During the critical out-of-school hours (the peak time for dangerous behavior), the House equips kids with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in higher education, in their chosen careers, and in life. The approach is comprehensive: academic enrichment, leadership development, mentorship, service learning, workforce readiness, college access, and health programs help each child reach his or her full potential. The House is a second home for these kids. Let's make sure the door is always open.
