Fundraising Realities: Making it a Team Effort
Rally your team and create a successful fundraising climate for staff at all levels of your organization. Attend the upcoming Nonprofit Development Conference Series session to learn how experts in the field have created an atmosphere that encourages staff to cultivate and tee up relationships with potential donors. Our featured speakers and panelists will share how they have broadened staff perspectives beyond their functional roles, developed advocates through greater levels of transparency, and collaborated across teams to advance the mission of the organization. Panelists include Kerrie Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, Reston Interfaith; Maria Gomez, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mary’s Center; Mark Bergel, Founder and Executive Director, A Wider Circle; and Ed Spitzberg, Executive Director, Sitar Center. Marshall Ginn, Founder and Managing Director, Capital Development Strategies LLC, is our guest speaker, and Beth Brummel, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts our host for another high-quality and affordable training program. This session's Executive Director's forum on The Art of the Ask will be led by the popular Dick Walker. It will focus on the executive director's role in providing the resources necessary to fund the organization’s mission. The presentation includes an examination of the ED’s role in establishing a “culture” of philanthropy at the organization.
