  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Writing Coach:
    Posse’s writing program offers Scholars an opportunity to improve their academic preparedness by honing a much needed skill to succeed in college: outstanding writing. Writing coaches must be available for one-on-one meetings with Scholars to help them identify their writing strengths and weaknesses. Time commitment: February-July; 1-2 hours per month.

    Resume Coach:
    Resume coaches review and coach a group of Scholars through their resume preparation process, and are supported by the Posse Career Program Manager. Coaching and feedback can occur by phone, email or in person. Time commitment: February-June; 1-5 hours per month.

    Dynamic Assessment Process Evaluator:
    Each year, Posse D.C. receives more than 1,500 nominations from area high schools and community based organizations and 60 students will be chosen to become Posse Scholars. Come be a part of selecting the leaders of tomorrow! Through Posse’s Dynamic Assessment Process (DAP) you can help us identify young people who have outstanding leadership qualities, are great communicators, and work well in teams. Time commitment: September; 4-5 hours per interview.
