General Information

  • Volunteer Opportunities / Responsibilities: Volunteers are needed to judge debates during Saturday tournaments. No experience is required, we provide a judge training video and breakfast training session for new volunteers. The only criteria are willingness to listen and take notes on what local youth have to say, and taking a quick background check, available on our website.

    For those with a debate background, we are also looking for folks willing to adopt a school and serve as an assistant coach.
  • Types of Volunteers Needed: individual/adult; individual/college; adult groups of less than 5; adult groups of 6 or more, including corporate teams
  • Hours Needed: business hours during the week; daytime on the weekend

8th debate tournament of the season, featuring Novice, JV, and Varsity divisions of competition. Volunteers are needed to judge rounds. No experience needed, volunteer training video and breakfast session available. Every adult that volunteers allows 4 more students to participate.

Supplemental Activity after the WUDL Regular Season. Students debate about a financial literacy topic after participating in several workshops to help them learn the concepts. No experience needed, volunteer training video and breakfast session available. Financial background preferred. Every adult that volunteers allows 4 more students to participate.
