Give Back to Those Who Gave So Much
Join Operation Second Chance on #GivingTuesday to support our nation's wounded, injured, and ill veterans and their families.
Operation Second Chance provides emergency financial assistance including help with rent, mortgages, and utilities, as well as assisting with emergency flights and hotel stays for service members and families. OSC focuses on the needs of the entire family in sponsoring retreats and moral events across the country.
A family we helped had this to say, "After my husband was wounded, our world completely fell apart. OSC was there to help put the pieces back together and to be a support in any way they could.... Financially, physically, and even emotionally. We are forever grateful to Cindy and OSC. Thank you for being a light during a very dark time."
From groceries to toiletries, and medical equipment to track-chairs, your support provides assistance to our nations Heroes. Thank you for supporting Operation Second Chance.

Since 2003, it has raised over $34 million for charities across Greater Washington. The Catalogue for Philanthropy looks to friends like you to keep our services independent and entirely free of charge. A reminder of the 22 veterans a day that are taking their own lives. Your donation of $22.00 will help Operation Second Chance raise awareness about veteran suicide.
A much needed break for a caregiver. Coffee with a friend or a pedicure, our caregivers give so much of themselves caring for our wounded veterans.
Transportation to appointments. Gas gift cards or taxi/Uber vouchers are important to make sure our veterans have the funds to get to the many doctors appointments they have,
Food on the table. Many veterans and families struggle to afford groceries and other daily essential items.
Keep the lights on and heat going. Our veterans are often months behind or have already had utilities cut off.
A roof over their head. Helping to pay mortgage payments or rent ensures our veterans and families do not become homeless.
