Support survivors of domestic violence this Giving Tuesday.

For over 40 years, MSP has worked to address the tragic link between domestic violence and homelessness. Its 90-day emergency shelter (one of the few DC shelters that accepts women and their children) provides up to 15 families with safe housing, counseling, and professional case management from on-site, licensed social workers. Clients can then move into transitional-to-permanent housing, complete with subsidized rental payments and financial literacy training to prepare them for self-sufficiency. Abusive fathers take part in the Batterer Intervention Group – 24 weeks of intensive support and education that helps them learn accountability, transform their behaviors, and build healthy relation- ships. Community outreach in English and Spanish supports equal access to information and care, while trainings for service providers improve our community’s response to victims’ needs. For families fleeing abuse, your support restores safety and autonomy to their lives.
