Baroque Christmas
For the holidays, the renowned Consort Chorus and continuo group embrace the extraordinary variety of styles and textures inherent in the music of the Baroque period, not only in Europe but also in Latin America and Mexico. Among the outstanding composers represented are Giovanni Gabrieli, Vasily Titov, Juan Perez Bocanegra, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Hieronymous Praetorius, Melchior Vulpius and Geronimo Gonzalez. Throughout this fascinating exploration, we are guided and uplifted by the inimitable finesse and stylistic versatility of our superb singers and instrumentalists.
