APAH celebrated the groundbreaking for the new 104-unit The Springs Apartments, which will add 98 much-needed, new affordable homes to the Ballston area.
Senior Services of Alexandria
Senior Services of Alexandria organized a quarterly meeting for its Friendly Visitors last Saturday at Arden Courts in Annandale. The facility invited the volunteers to participate in a sensory experience that allows people to feel what it is like to suffer from dementia and macular degeneration. It was an extremely meaningful experience for all those who attended.

Girls on the Run DC
Girls on the Run- DC is in their spring season, with over 900 girls participating from all 8 wards of the District. This week they learned about their Star Power.Every girl has an inner star that shines bright! The girls practice using their imagination/visualization to positively impact their thinking, feelings, and behaviors. They are to encourage others and oneself to let the star within shine brightly!
