Mozart’s Don Giovanni

GALA Hispanic Theatre
The newly commissioned English adaptation by DC writer Bari Biern and stage director Tom Mallan explores the famous opera’s themes of seduction, honor, obsession, crime and punishment, in a 1920s American religious revival setting. The Biern-Mallan team created last season’s blockbuster hit, a Wild West version of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio. Mozart & DaPonte’s dramma giocoso , Don Giovanni is universally recognized as one of the most perfect operas in the entire repertory. Stewards of Children Training

Safe Shores – The DC Children’s Advocacy Center
Participate in Stewards of Children and gain information necessary to protect children and ensure they grow up healthy and safe in DC. Stewards of Children teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children, including community members and professionals that work with youth. The training includes a discussion about critical issues in sexual abuse prevention and a video sharing the voices of survivors and experts in the field. This session is for parents and caregivers.

Eight years ago, as the Dinner Program for Homeless Women, we partnered with Weschler’s Auction House to throw a cocktail fundraiser so good, they’ve continued doing it every year since with different nonprofits. Now, eight years and a name change later, Weschler’s has come back to Thrive DC!We hope you can join us on March 26th for cocktails and appetizers.
