Spooktacular Halloween Party
Hope for Henry Foundation All the kids at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital will be treated (get it!) to candy and other Halloween-gifts and treats on the sweetest day of the year thanks to Hope for Henry. We’ll have face painters and caricaturists and a photo booth on site. Hope for Henry will take pre-orders of their favorite costumes and they will trick-or-treat through the decorated hospital corridors to ensure they don’t miss out on the best day of the year.

Professional Attire Collection Day
Suited for Change Join Suited for Change as we receive large clothing donations of fall and winter clothes. Our suiting program provides professional attire, shoes and matching accessories to low-income women who are entering the job market or who have recently started a new job. Clients meet one-on-one with trained volunteers, also known as “wardrobe consultants,” who assist them in assembling a professional wardrobe.

BMD Performs at 42nd Annual Maryland State Dance Festival
Bowen McCauley Dance Company BMD performs Far Behind at the 42nd Annual Maryland State Dance Festival. Far Behind fuses country rock and movement in a heart-wrenching duet. An excerpt from Victory Road, Far Behind is part of the larger collaborative production between Lucy Bowen McCauley and Jason Ringenberg of Jason and The Scorchers, credited by Rolling Stone Magazine for rewriting the history of rock’n roll in the South. The full-length production of Victory Road will premiere at The Kennedy Center on April 10-11, 2015. Join us at the festival for this exciting preview.
