The simple tale of a boy waking up to discover that snow has fallen during the night is brought to life in the magical world premiere of The Snowy Day. Eight performances this weekend — and tickets still remaining for the 7:00 PM show on Friday!
National Philharmonic (Music Center at Strathmore, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda, MD)
This all-Tchaikovsky concert begins with the Polonaise, an energetic dance from the composer’s opera Eugene Onegin, and features the Romeo and Juliet Overture and 1812 Overture. Performances at 8:00 PM on Saturday and 3:00 PM on Sunday; tickets right this way.
Potomac Conservancy (River Center at Lock 8, 7906 Riverside Drive, Cabin John)
Meet at 10:00 AM on Sunday to clean up the lockhouse area and the nearby towpath. This cleanup is open to all ages and Potomac Conservancy will provide all supplies — just wear clothes that can get dirty.
