Fourth Annual Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup with Rock Creek Conservancy (April 14): Help clean your local park with thousands of volunteers throughout Montgomery County and DC and help keep trash out of Rock Creek, the Potomac River and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay. Volunteering is a fun way to get the whole family outside and do our part to keep Rock Creek clean and healthy. Learn more over here.

2012 Earth Day Cleanup & Celebration with Anacostia Watershed Society (April 21): Join AWS and other environmental organizations from around the DC area to clean up the Anacostia and its tributaries. From 9 AM to noon, meet up with volunteers at 40 sites around the region; and from noon to 2:00 PM, celebrate the day at RFK Stadium. Full schedule here!
