The 2nd annual Fairfax CASA Run for the Children 10K Race & 3K Run/Walk is coming up on Saturday at 8 AM — prizes, food, and entertainment all included. Sign up right here. And in running-related events, Girls on the Run founder Molly Barker will share words of wisdom at a brunch to benefit the GOTR of MoCo scholarship fund on Saturday at 8 AM. Admission tickets are sold out, but you can still buy raffle tickets here!


Come roll up your sleeves with the Anacostia Watershed Society on Saturday at 10 AM and help restore the natural beauty of the watershed at Bladensburg Waterfront Park; more info this way. Join Bowen McCauley Dance for the 3rd Annual Move Me Festival, a free community event celebrating arts and culture with nearly a dozen local partners, on Saturday at 2 PM. And at District of Columbia Arts Center, both SPIDERMUSICAL (from Landless Theatre) and A Night with the Town Drunk 2 continue this weekend in the evenings.

At the National Philharmonic on Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM, Sarah Chang plays Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto: written in 1830 and inspired by the beauty of Fingal’s Cave. Tickets right here!
