Working Together to Stop Domestic Violence
Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
Braddock District Supervisor John C. Cook invites you to join him in his fight against domestic violence by raising funds for two amazing local charities, Artemis House and Fairfax CASA. Domestic violence is the number one cause of injury to women, more than car accidents, muggings, and rape combined. And here in Fairfax County domestic violence is the number one cause of homicide. Children also suffer from domestic violence, with many baring emotional and physical scars from abusive parents. What’s worse is that children who suffer from domestic abuse are twice as likely to then abuse their own spouses and children. RSVP: http://fightviolence.eventbrite.com/
